Senior Mechanical Engineer


Job Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, process piping, ultrapure water (UPW), and gas distribution systems. They will be responsible for overseeing mechanical designs, schematics, and layouts for critical systems such as HVAC, ultra-pure water (UPW), cleanroom ventilation, process piping, and gas distribution. The candidate will also ensure thermal management, vibration control, and contamination prevention in critical semiconductor environments. In addition, they will perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and material selection to meet high-precision industry requirements. Other responsibilities include coordinating with civil, electrical, and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical infrastructure, ensuring that cleanroom and contamination control protocols are maintained during installation, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical system issues during commissioning and start-up, working with vendors and contractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to project milestones, and ensuring all mechanical systems comply with Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, and NEA standards. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also develop and review mechanical designs, schematics, and layouts for critical systems. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering for semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, or industrial facilities. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors, and good communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese associates.
