Singapore EXCELITAS TECHNOLOGIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

Conduct opto-mechanical design & development of opto-mechanical assemblies & components for build-to-specification products (BTS) and build-to-print plus (BTP+) including executing 6 phase activities of design and development IAW requirements of RD0010 & RD0011.
- Generate relevant documents IAW requirements of RD0010 & RD0011 and FM0064.
- Maintain & update Project Register in terms of FM0064.
- Act as project lead to plan, organize and co-ordinate PDR, CDR, DFMEA & Product SEA and other (important/milestone) project meetings including phase-gate review.
- Maintain and control relevant documents related to R & D activities per requirements of ISO9001 - 2015, ISO14000 - 2015, ISO13485 and AS9100D.
- Conduct GD&T & tolerance stack-up analyses and thermal & stress analyses using FEA etc.
- Generate detailed 2D drawings of assemblies, mechanical parts & bought items for BTS and BTP products.
- Review datapack for BTP products and provide feedback to S&M on correctness of datapack and any suggestion to change as required.
- Raise ECN for update of 2D drawings of assemblies, mechanical parts & bought items and specifications for approval and follow-up the ECN flow.
- Provide technical support to process & production, supply chain & QA for review of technical drawings & design.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant disciplines.
- At least 5 or 10 years of relevant experience in opto-mechanical design for position of senior mechanical design engineer and principal mechanical design engineer respectively.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and engineering techniques are required.
- Plentiful experience of 3D mechanical design using Solidworks Software is required.
- Solid experience in generating 2D drawings for form, fit and function and manufacturability is required.
- Solid knowledge and experience in material properties are required.
- Solid understanding of design and development process and knowledge & experience of project management is required.
- Knowledge and experience of Quality Management Standards (such as ISO9001 & ISOI14001 and AS9100D) is required.
- Good communication, time management, problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
