Job Summary

  • A seasoned Electrical Discipline Lead is sought after to manage the technical aspects of electrical design and engineering activities. The successful candidate will oversee the development of design scope, ensure adherence to international codes and standards, and lead a team in delivering high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Discipline Management: Manage the electrical discipline within the project, ensuring timely delivery of design scope and compliance with Shell DEP's and other international design codes and standards.

Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers in developing design scope and ensuring all related deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, Project, and Corporate requirements.

Design Reviews: Coordinate and conduct design reviews, including ITR/PSDR/DRR, ENVID, HAZID, HAZOP, Bowties, ALARP, SAFOP, SIMOPS, 3D model reviews, and Constructability, to ensure effective and efficient review processes.

Cybersecurity Interfaces: Align Electrical interfaces, including Cybersecurity interfaces, between project phases and direct contractors' design efforts considering safety, start-up, cost, and constructability impacts.

Technical Expertise: Serve as the project's technical expert in the Electrical discipline, providing guidance on suitable technology, equipment, field devices, and other Electrical specific systems as per design, evaluating options, and selecting best techno-economic solutions for project facilities.

Quality Assurance: Monitor the implementation of QA/QC processes to achieve deliverables and facilities that meet project requirements.

Requirements:

Education: B.Sc. degree or Higher in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university; higher degree would be advantageous.

Experience: A minimum of 15 years' experience in Electrical design in Oil & Gas Industry, with an Oil & Gas Company or Contractor/Consultant, of which at least 10 years should have been in offshore Oil & Gas processing projects.

Skills: Proven ability to manage respective discipline engineering team in a major project environment, strong technical, planning, communication, reporting, and leadership skills.

Certifications: Familiarity with Shell DEP's and other international design codes and standards, knowledge of Electrical ETAP software and design review, and proficiency in relevant engineering tools.
