Job Opportunity: Executive Chef Assistant

The Executive Chef Assistant is a critical role in our kitchen operations, responsible for supporting the Head Chef in managing daily food preparation and service. This individual will work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Head Chef in supervising kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and presentation in all dishes prepared.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and assisting in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the kitchen meet food safety regulations.
  • Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with the culinary team on menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Coordinating timely preparation and delivery of meals during service periods.
  • Resolving minor conflicts or challenges during shifts.

Requirements for this role include:

  • 6 years proven experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or senior cook role.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in culinary arts or food safety preferred.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
