Data Center Investment Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic plans for data center investments, including identifying opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence, and making informed investment decisions.

Oversee the entire investment process of data center projects, from site selection and acquisition to design. Lead a team to structure and negotiate the closure of multiple acquisitions/divestitures of data center assets or operating companies, including origination, analysis, underwriting, research, technical design, and solutions.

Conduct financial analysis, including investment valuation, feasibility studies, and risk assessments. Generate complex financial models to support investment strategies. Monitor and evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations to maximize return on investment.

Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, vendors, brokers, and regulatory authorities. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive projects forward and ensure successful outcomes.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies in the data center space. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new investment opportunities and potential areas for expansion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in investment management within the data center, real estate, private equity, infrastructure, IT, or technology industry, with a strong track record of successful investment deals.
  • Solid understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and technical requirements. Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical systems or IT architecture is helpful but not necessary.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to conduct thorough financial analysis and develop strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage teams and drive projects towards successful completion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
