Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in researching and planning the implementation of new digital technologies to enhance our fleet's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly installations of digital solutions.
  • Liaise with vendors to develop products that meet our specific needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital solutions after installation.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Assist in closing audit issues related to digital products.
  • Provide techno-commercial feedback to legal teams for contract finalization.
  • Manage post-installation issues, guarantee claims, and troubleshoot digital product-related problems.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on digital products.
  • Support the team in delivering requirements as per given KPIs.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, or IT-related field.

Specialist Knowledge/Skills:

  • General knowledge of the global shipping industry and fleet technical management.
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing technical and operational shipping processes.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations, shipboard systems, and products used on various types of vessels.
  • Experience in Change Management, Project Management, and Resource Management.
  • Strong motivation, work ethic, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • High degree of independence.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and analysis tools.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience in the maritime industry, preferably specializing in shipboard systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with shipboard operations and various digital systems used onboard.
  • Experience in digital transformation projects is an added advantage.
