Job Title: Senior Shipbroker

\

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced shipbroker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively and profitably concluding fixtures as a specialized broker working within an existing team.

\

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience gained in shipping, preferably in the chemicals market intra-Asia. They will work alongside an established team of brokers located both East and West, extending their client base and identifying and developing new potential business.

\

The successful candidate will be equipped with existing client portfolio and excellent communication skills. They will be able to build relationships with clients and provide information both face-to-face and by phone/email. Profitably generating income from servicing existing and new clients is also a key responsibility.

\

In addition, the candidate will gather data from the market and help coordinate information, diligently updating within our bespoke technology system.

\

The role requires strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to successfully work with challenging and demanding clients with tenacity and a high level of attention to detail.

\

Key skills include excellent customer relationship skills, team ethos with the ability to work independently as well as in a team, self-motivation, and a positive mentality and approach.

\

This is a mid-senior level position, reporting to the management team. It is a full-time role, based in London.

\
