About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to join our New Product Innovation (NPI) Programmes team. This exciting opportunity will focus on driving innovation in Robotics and Audio categories.

  • Lead the development of NPI projects, utilizing a Hybrid-Agile Project Management approach to deliver business-critical milestones.
  • Apply robust governance frameworks to in-flight projects, ensuring effective delivery and stakeholder management.
  • Create and align end-to-end delivery plans to support our Robotics and Audio vision and strategy.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and presentation skills, inspiring confidence and demonstrating leadership.
  • Collaborate with the global Programme Management team to contribute to roadmaps, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the delivery of complex projects, upholding the highest standards of delivery methodology, including regular communication with key stakeholders, governance, change management, and thorough risk/issue management.
  • Ensure exceptional quality project setup documents, detailing scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, and governance structure.
  • Empower project teams to accelerate the wider Dyson business by managing changes in project scope, costs, resources, and timing within agreed governance and change control processes.
  • Work with the Head of NPI Programmes to ensure excellent financial stewardship, delivering predictable and reliable cost estimating, management, and forecasting for the suite of projects.
  • Provide leadership and management of day-to-day operational and administrative matters for NPI.
  • Understand business case drivers and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and future-proofed solutions.

About You

  • At least 6 years' experience in early-stage life cycle projects (NPI), preferably in an innovative engineering-based organization.
  • Good knowledge and experience of all stages of the project lifecycle, including development of business cases, mobilization of projects.
  • Management of a suite of projects, including multi-disciplined teams across various delivery frameworks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Enthusiastic change agent who contributes and embraces change.
  • Solid matrix management skills with the proven ability to deliver through others.
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and programme life-cycle, including development of business cases, mobilization of projects.
  • Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid) backed up by experience of applying them successfully in practice.
  • Experience of successfully leading large multi-disciplinary project teams across a range of locations.
  • Confident and comfortable interacting with senior executives without diluting unpleasant news or well-reasoned analysis.
