About the role
We are looking for a talented Programme Manager to join Dyson’s New Product Innovation (NPI) Programmes team. This exciting position will focus oncategories of Robotics and Audio.
Successful track-record of leading fast-paced development of NPI projects operating within a Hybrid- Agile Project Management approach dealing with significant levels of ambiguity and remain focused on delivery to meet business critical milestone dates.
Demonstrable experience of applying robust governance frameworks to in-flight projects that have a mix of delivery frameworks, including Agile development workstreams.
Creation and alignment of end to end delivery plans to support Robotics and Audio vision and strategy
Excellent communication and presentation skills up to and including C-suite Exec, with the ability to inspire confidence, demonstrate leadership and project gravitas.
Working collaboratively across the global Programme Management team to contribute to roadmaps, best practice and continuous improvement.
Leading delivery of a complex suite of projects, upholding the highest standards of delivery methodology including regular and effective communication with key stakeholders, governance, change management and thorough risk/issue management.
Ensuring exceptional quality project setup documents detailing scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, governance structure
Empowering the project team to accelerate the wider Dyson business by managing changes in project scope, costs, resources and timing within the framework of agreed governance and change control processes.
Working with the Head of NPI Programmes, ensuring excellent financial stewardship by delivering predictable and reliable cost estimating, management and forecasting for the suite of projects.
Provide leadership and management of day-to-day operational and administrative matters for NPI.
Understanding the business case drivers and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver a scalable and future proofed solution
About you
At least 6 years’ experience of early-stage life cycle projects (NPI), ideally gained in an innovative engineering based organisation.
Good knowledge and experience of all stages of the project lifecycle, including development of business cases, mobilisation of projects.
Management of a suite of projects, including multi-disciplined teams across a variety of delivery frameworks
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
Strong leadership abilities
Enthusiastic change agent who contributes and embraces change.
Solid matrix management skills with the proven ability to deliver through others
Extensive stakeholder engagement and management skills.
In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and programme life-cycle, including development of business cases, mobilisation of projects.
Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies. (Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid) backed up by experience of applying them successfully in practice
Experience of successfully leading large multi-disciplinary project teams across a range of locations
Confident; comfortable interacting with senior executives without diluting unpleasant news or well-reasoned analysis.
