Job Title: Indian Culinary Specialist

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Indian cuisine and be able to assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff during preparation, cooking, and service, ensuring high standards of food quality and consistency.
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen is also essential.
  • Contribution to menu development, especially with regional Indian dishes and seasonal specials, is also required.
  • Monitoring food stock and assisting with inventory control, ordering, and minimizing food waste is another key responsibility.
  • Training and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring skill development and kitchen efficiency, is also an important aspect of this role.
  • Timely execution of food orders, especially during busy service hours, is critical.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with strong exposure to Indian cuisine, is required.
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Line Cook is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional and regional Indian cooking techniques and ingredients is essential.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills are also required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are necessary.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks during service is critical.
  • Passion for food quality, flavor, and presentation is essential.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene Certification is a plus.
  • Williness to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts is required.
