Job Title: Head of Sales

Job Summary:

The Head of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales growth and revenue optimization across the Singapore cluster. Reporting directly to the Country General Manager, Singapore Operations, this individual will lead the Sales Team to achieve sales targets, develop and execute sales strategies, and maintain and increase the existing client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet budgeted revenue targets
  • Lead and motivate the Sales Team to achieve sales targets and optimize revenue
  • Conduct market studies and analyze economic business level fluctuations, tourism trends, environmental issues, and political and social trends
  • Assess local consumer trends and suggest necessary changes to relevant initiatives
  • Define and set up local partnerships with institutions and companies
  • Source new business channels and implement sales strategies to achieve these strategies
  • Anticipate and project sales forecasts and monitor market trends
  • Report as required on sales activities and successes
  • Optimize RFP success ratio for the benefit of the business
  • Conduct familiarizations and site inspections
  • Participate in determining room rate pricing strategy with Property Heads and Country Director, Revenue Management
  • Plan and control budgetary activities
  • Maintain regular interactions with key stakeholders and clients
  • Entertain prospects and existing key accounts to sustain business and generate further sales
  • Utilize Salesforce System for client management and reporting purposes
  • Participate in task forces and roll out of new services and products
  • Contribute to promoting The Ascott Limited's brands by implementing regional promotional offers
  • Set clear goals and directions for the team and empower them to achieve business results
  • Motivate, supervise, and appraise staff's performance in the Sales Department
  • Provide guidelines and training to staff in the execution of their duties within the Sales Department
  • Engage the team by energizing them to work together towards common goals
  • Participate in audits and interested party transactions reporting
