About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our Commercial Distribution team in APAC. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing the Commercial Distribution business in APAC, increasing individual hotel sales in Asia Pacific territories, and managing churn in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Director, Commercial Distribution, APAC, and with the support of the Sales Team Co-ordinator, to grow the Commercial Distribution business in APAC.
  • Focus on increasing individual hotel sales in Asia Pacific territories, as well as local licensees, and manage churn in APAC.
  • Take initiative and seek new opportunities to manage territory sales across APAC, with a focus on Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Fiji, and the Philippines.
  • Maintain and manage current client sales' portfolio for existing direct business in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
  • Generate new business for the distribution of CNN International channel in hotels across APAC.
  • Upsell CNN TAP, a CNN-managed customer wifi API, to current and new hotel clients, and liaise with the Digital Ad Sales team on the latest Ad Sales campaigns for CNN TAP in APAC.
  • Work with the Director, Commercial Distribution, APAC, to seek new business opportunities.
  • Keep track of sales progress for smooth work processes.
  • Provide timely forecasts and management reports.
  • Research hotel pipeline and hotel opening status across APAC.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience in acquiring/licensing/selling services to the hospitality sector, licensing or distributing television channels/content, or providing entertainment and/or communication technology services to the hospitality sector.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a continued interest to hone their professional selling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong influencing, negotiating, and concept selling skills, and the ability to help build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work efficiently across different levels of business stakeholders and internal support functions.
  • Passionate, hard worker, and well-organized professional with the power to prioritize and multitask.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to preserve confidentiality.
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
  • Fluency in Mandarin a plus.
  • University Degree or equivalent a plus.
