Job Title: Senior Risk Consultant – Pulp
\Join us as a Senior Risk Consultant to thrive in a dynamic role at Marsh McLennan.
\We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Engineering team. This hybrid role will be based within Asia, with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
\The Role:
\- Conduct thorough risk evaluations of pulp and paper mills, focusing on high-risk exposures such as smelt/water explosions and equipment breakdowns.
- Develop and implement tailored insurance strategies considering the complexities of BLRB and related equipment.
- Perform regular on-site inspections to assess equipment conditions, maintenance practices, and compliance with industry standards.
- Evaluate business interruption risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential losses related to BLRB.
- Collaborate with plant personnel and insurers to gather insights, review insured values, and optimize risk mitigation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
\- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Relevant years of experience in risk management or insurance within the pulp and paper industry.
- Strong understanding of engineering risks and insurance principles, with a focus on BLRB.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
What Makes You Stand Out:
\- Professional certification in risk management or insurance (e.g., ARM, CPCU).
- Experience with Erection All Risk (EAR) and Contractors All Risk (CAR) insurance.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as FM Global, AXA XL, and BLRBAC.
