Job Title: Core Banking Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced core banking project manager to join our dynamic team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the pre-study phase of a core banking transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive project governance, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines.
  • Ensure alignment between business and technology stakeholders.
  • Support planning and execution of pre-study activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, and milestone trackers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and steering committees.
  • Track and report progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Document scope, requirements, and decisions.
  • Coordinate with business analysts, architects, and vendor teams.
  • Assist in resource planning and budget forecasting.
  • Maintain alignment with regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations.
  • Support change management and communication efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or PMO roles.
  • Experience in banking or financial services, preferably in core banking projects.
  • Familiarity with pre-study or feasibility phases of large-scale transformations.
  • Strong understanding of project governance frameworks (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a client-facing role, with a proven track record of managing client relationships.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
