Job Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled developer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems and algorithms for unmanned aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system modeling, identification, parameter estimation, frequency response analysis, classical, and modern control theory.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced guidance, navigation, and flight control systems and algorithms for unmanned aerial vehicles.
  • Create and modify simulation environments for 6-DOF and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Select, test, evaluate, and integrate new sensors or navigation systems onto our drone platforms.
  • Develop and test firmware and flight code in C or C++ for the flight control computers of our drones.
  • Analyze flight data to verify system performance and troubleshoot issues during flights.
  • Produce detailed documentation on system specifications, design, testing procedures, and results.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Support ground and flight test activities to validate system performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in other engineering teams.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of three years of industry experience in GNC systems.
  • A strong background in system modeling, identification, parameter estimation, frequency response analysis, classical, and modern control theory.
  • Experience in modeling and simulating complex systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of inertial and other types of sensors for navigation, including accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, GNSS receivers, pressure sensors, ranging sensors, etc.
  • Understanding of Kalman filtering, digital signal processing, and sensor data fusion techniques.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming language and software development tools such as Linux, ROS, and Git.
