Job Title: Maritime Navigation Systems Specialist

Job Description:

Maintain and repair maritime navigation systems, marine telecommunication systems, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate must hold a GOC certificate and have experience in HMI and PCB designing and troubleshooting.

  • Assist in Radio survey of GMDSS equipment and installation/troubleshooting/servicing in Marine navigation systems such as Marine Radar, Gyro compass, Magnetic compass, autopilot, echo sounder, speed log, steering – FFU/NFU, weather fax, wind speed/direction etc
  • Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in communication systems such as GMDSS, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, NBDP, NDB, Navtex, Inmarsat, FBB, Local Area networks, email system etc.
  • Off-landed repair of faulty equipment in the workshop
  • Prepare service reports after completion of jobs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of maritime navigation systems and marine telecommunication systems
  • Radio survey and installation of GMDSS equipment
  • Troubleshooting and servicing of various marine systems and equipment
  • Preventive maintenance and report writing
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

  • GOC certificate holder with makers training and approval for Marine Communication Equipment
  • Formal education in Electrical and/or Electronic equipment
  • Good communication and writing skills, interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and an aptitude for detail
  • Ability to travel for overseas jobs and trainings
