**Our Client**:
Our client creates a ground-breaking technologies and services for the sustainable and connected mobility of people and goods. The technology company, founded in 1871, provides safe, efficient, intelligent, and affordable solutions for vehicles, machines, traffic, and transportation. They are actively looking to hire a Senior Specialist on Robot Navigation to join their team in Singapore.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Working on continuously improving these designs for business needs
- Create robot navigation system managers with tools like state machines and behaviour trees, event processing systems, constraint management systems, and so on
- Develop software modules that provide more flexible modular interfacing between the navigation sub-system with the rest of the modules such as localization, perception & prediction. This indicates you will take an active role in interacting with teams working on related autonomy modules
- Develop well-documented industry-ready software modules and libraries predominantly for ROS2 with assistance from senior software engineers
- Working on system architecture and design, mapping out the technology roadmap, and executing them together with the rest of the team

**The Requirements**:

- A Degree related to Computer Science or Engineering and 5 years of industry experience.
- Path planning
- Behavior planning
- Trajectory planning and obstacle avoidance
- Motion control
- Coverage path planning or exploration
- A solid foundation in robotics and a good fundamental understanding of how different autonomy and non-autonomy related software sub-systems interact and affect the navigation sub-system
- Experience in software development for robotics with a good understanding of software development lifecycle and design patterns
- Technical proficiency in mobile robot navigation-related topics
- Good software development skills in C++/Python/Rust
- Experience in ROS/ROS2
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Travel is required, as and when necessary
