We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager, Business Development to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities across a range of product areas, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.
The Challenges- Proactively identify potential business opportunities through extensive networks and research to secure Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
- Develop new business across all product lines, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.
- Explore opportunities to cross-sell products to both new and existing clients.
- Forging and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts in both new and existing accounts.
- Ensure account retention through excellent customer service.
- Strategize and implement new business initiatives to drive growth.
- Maintain an accurate and robust sales pipeline at all times.
- Collaborate with solution design teams to enhance business development strategies.
- Identify and build infrastructure with reliable service providers and freight agents in overseas markets where the company does not have a presence.
- 15+ years of relevant business development experience in international freight forwarding, with at least 10 years of leadership experience.
- Proven sales track record and an excellent customer network.
- Strong market knowledge in the freight forwarding industry (ocean and air products).
- Ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Experience in leading high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A goal-oriented and results-driven mindset with the ability to push boundaries.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong integrity and a high sense of responsibility.
