Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Role Description

As a key member of our hotel housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and corridors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and tidiness. This includes directing and guiding Room Attendants to achieve these standards.

You will also play a crucial role in promoting safe work practices within the workplace by ensuring that housekeeping employees follow established safety regulations when using work equipment and supplies.

Your expertise in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety will also be critical in ensuring compliance with company policies, guidelines, work processes, and standard operating procedures. You will provide guidance to junior staff and new hires to ensure they adhere to these requirements.

Key responsibilities include organizing, prioritizing, and delegating work assignments to ensure efficient turnover of guest rooms. You will also conduct daily briefings with employees and maintain effective communication within the department.

In addition, you will be responsible for conducting twice-daily inspections of Room Attendant equipment and cleaning machinery to ensure proper working condition. You will also conduct room checks on rooms cleaned by Room Attendants using the room inspection checklist.

To further enhance your skills, you will have the opportunity to inspect each room of the assigned area, including vacant, occupied, check-out, or out of order rooms, as well as corridors, service areas, and storerooms, using the standard Supervisor checklist.

Finally, you will be responsible for reporting maintenance issues within your assigned area to the relevant team members.


Requirements
  • O-Level or equivalent qualification
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in Hotel Housekeeping
  • Proactive and meticulous approach to work
  • Ability to perform strenuous activities and handle heavy loads
