Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Desktop Support professional to join our team. This role will provide desktop support for the first point of contact with customers, addressing a range of IT topics and issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver desktop support services to users by identifying and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Receive, prioritize, document and resolve end-user help requests and escalate incidents when necessary.
  • Perform imaging and re-imaging tasks to ensure hardware is properly configured.
  • Conduct asset inventories to track company assets.
  • Escalate technical issues to 3rd party vendors or resolver groups (where appropriate).
  • Create and update work instructions to improve efficiency.
  • Document standards and procedures to ensure consistency.

Requirements:To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum ITE/Diploma graduate with 4 years' experience in desktop support or IT-related roles.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Fundamental skills in understanding Active Directory, OneDrive, servers, networking, storage and cloud technologies.
  • Possess at least one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Client, Microsoft Certified: Managing Modern Desktops.
  • Previous IT helpdesk and/or call centre support experience, including remote support via phone or tools, is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in workstation support and related components.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize effectively and work under pressure.
  • Effective team player and communicator.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
  • Able to manage small projects such as OS upgrades and software implementation.
