Logistics Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics, with the ability to oversee the end-to-end process from procurement to delivery.

This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including internal departments, transport carriers, and freight forwarders. The successful candidate must be able to optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing goods receipt issues, shipment discrepancies, and dispatch issues in collaboration with related departments
  • Recording and archiving import and export shipping documents
  • Supporting import and export license applications for export control commodities
  • Coordinating shipment arrangements with freight forwarders and carriers according to committed schedules with customers
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and courier services for import/export shipments
  • Taking immediate action to resolve shipment delays and parcel damage issues to minimize their impact on delivery
  • Reviewing logistics operating flows, procedures, and recommending effective improvement initiatives to enhance performance
  • Communicating with service providers to ensure Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) excellence and continuous improvement
  • Working closely with warehouse teams
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements for this position include:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in logistics, preferably with knowledge of shipment booking and pre-alert handling
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications or Google Suite, with knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Analytical, meticulous, planning, and organizational skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment
