Scientific Instrument Service Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Instrument Service Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing scientific analytical instruments, with the ability to perform installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of these instruments at customer sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with customers to address service concerns and provide effective technical solutions. They will also be expected to build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure quality service support.

  • Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of scientific analytical instruments at customer sites.
  • Liaise with customers to address service concerns and provide effective technical solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for new preventive maintenance contracts.
  • Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to support service requirements.
  • Provide technical training to end-users and distributors.
  • Prepare service and spare parts quotations for customer enquiries.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2–4 years' experience in servicing scientific analytical instruments.
  • Knowledge of Particle Size Analyzer, X-ray Fluorescence, Spectroscopy, or ICP Spectrometer is an advantage.
  • Possess a vehicle due to the need for site travelling is preferred.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also have a strong understanding of the principles of servicing scientific analytical instruments, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
