Main Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:
Identify potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery lead times. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and resolve any issues that arise. Conduct regular supplier assessments and performance reviews.

Procurement Process:
Issue purchase orders and ensure their timely execution. Monitor market trends for raw materials and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with production planning and inventory control to forecast material needs. Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of key materials. Implement strategies for cost reduction and monitor purchasing expenses.

Quality Control:
Ensure all materials meet the company's quality standards and specifications. Work with the quality control team to resolve any material-related issues.

Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and inventory levels. Generate reports on purchasing metrics and expenses.

Other Responsibilities:
Communicate with various departments, including production, engineering, and quality control. Follow established procurement policies and procedures. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes. Provide administrative support to the procurement team.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in using procurement software and systems. Knowledge of metal industry materials, processes, and quality standards. Analytical skills to assess market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in managing inventory and procurement processes. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
