Software Application Support Professional

An Application Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless functionality and optimal performance of software applications. They troubleshoot production issues, resolve application incidents within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) time frames, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive software application support, troubleshooting, and bug fixing related to maintained Software Applications.
- Communicating effectively with end users and customer IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service recovery within contractual SLA requirements.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement application enhancements, coordinate regular system maintenance and upgrade activities, and perform impact analysis and post-installation verification test on monthly OS patches/updates and Software patches deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications include hands-on experience in Java, PHP, Python, C#.Net, SQL/ PLSQL, APIs (RESTful and SOAP), and shell scripting. A basic understanding of application and web servers such as Apache Tomcat, WAMP, and IBM Websphere is also required. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be comfortable working in shifts to provide 24/7 support onsite.
