About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Engineer to support our 24/7 data centre operations. This role involves monitoring performance, ensuring security compliance and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure smooth operation of our data centre, including maintenance, repair and monitoring of critical equipment and systems.
  • Monitor performance and availability of IT services, including processing of production jobs and escalation of incidents related to computer hardware, operating systems, application systems and data centre facilities.
  • Assist in maintaining data centre security and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Support reliability, availability and performance of event monitoring system to ensure service vendors meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of data centre operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum qualification of NITEC or Higher NITEC in IT or related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in data centre operations or IT support.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and keen interest in IT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to adapt to and perform shift duties as required.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA IT Fundamentals or Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) would be advantageous.
