Job Title: Data Centre Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for continuous service improvement and implement changes to enhance production stability, stakeholder experience, and overall service quality.
  • Automate production processes to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
  • Escalate and communicate major incidents in a timely manner, leading investigation activities and driving resolution with workarounds or permanent solutions.
  • Maintain accountability for resolving incidents and participating in troubleshooting system and network connectivity problems before escalation.
  • Monitor production metrics and performance indicators to ensure targets are met, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse production processes and identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Technical proficiency in production systems issues and effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Problem-solving aptitude, with a knack for troubleshooting production issues and devising effective solutions.
  • Experience in data centre facilities, including temperature and humidity monitoring systems, smoke detection and fire suppression systems, UPS units, CCTV, and other equipment.
  • Familiarity with AWS tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail is an advantage.
  • Able to work shift duties, including 8-day rotational shifts.
