**Job Title:** Kitchen Department Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Create Restaurants Asia Pte. Ltd. as the Kitchen Department Lead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food standards, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen operations, including stock management, inventory control, and food cost management.
  • Maintain high food standards and cleanliness, and address any issues promptly.
  • Lead the kitchen team, including hiring, training, and coaching kitchen crew members, including new hires.
  • Oversee daily shift management, ensuring high-quality food preparation and cooking.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Perform other ad-hoc kitchen-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven culinary skills with expertise in all kitchen workstations.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, managing kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with Japanese cuisine is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Passion for food and culinary arts.
  • Able to lead from the front, work long hours, and execute tasks accurately.
