
Central Kitchen Lead

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Central Kitchen Lead will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the central kitchen, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality food products in compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards. This role involves managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory control, ensuring food production meets company quality standards, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency. The Central Kitchen Lead will also play a key role in menu planning, staff training, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in day-to-day operations of the central kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and timely food production.
- Supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards, maintaining cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage food supplies to ensure proper stock rotation and cost control.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to order and maintain necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and portion control to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Perform regular quality control checks on food products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Handle production scheduling, ensuring that all production targets and deadlines are met efficiently.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to optimize kitchen operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Maintain strong communication with other departments to ensure timely delivery and smooth coordination of orders.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Proven experience in a central kitchen or large-scale food production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time, on-site role with a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- May require working flexible hours, including weekends.
- The environment is Non Halal.
