Job Title:Senior Architectural Coordinator
Job Description:

The Senior Architect leads the design team to ensure accurate and timely architectural drawings align with the Project Master Program. Key responsibilities include liaising with structural and M&E coordinators to issue buildable shop drawings on time, ensuring drafting team and subcontractor drawings are accurate and timely, identifying discrepancies in shop drawings, and relating design intent to construction.

Additionally, the Senior Architect coordinates between architectural teams and consultants to ensure consistency in construction drawings, liaises with architects, design consultants, and subcontractors on design intent and technical issues, highlights critical dimensions, ensures details are workable and coordinated with other trades, and manages communication effectively.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Liaise closely with Structural and M&E Coordinators to ensure buildable shop drawings are issued timely to the project site team.
  • Ensure that drawings produced by the drafting team and sub-contractors are accurate and timely.
  • Identify shop drawings discrepancies, buildability, and impact on different disciplines.
  • Relate design intent from architect/design consultant to buildable construction shop drawing.
  • Highlight design intent on critical dimensions; details are workable and coordinated with other trades.
  • Liaise with architect, design consultant, and sub-contractors on design intent and technical issues.
  • Coordinate between architectural team and consultant drawings to ensure consistency in construction drawings.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Degree in Architecture or relevant fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant industry, preferably full-time assigned on a project.

Technical Competencies:

  • Coordination and identify areas of concern with design intent.
  • Understanding of structural / M&E drawings.
  • Able to communicate with consultants in clear hand sketches drawings.
  • Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities.
