This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient operation of our organisation, providing exceptional patient care, and leading a team of staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Billing Management: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of patient bills and invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage and optimise chemotherapy appointment scheduling systems and workflows to ensure optimal patient flow and minimise wait times.
- Financial Counselling: Provide guidance and support to patients regarding financial aspects of their treatment, assist patients in understanding insurance coverage, payment options, and financial assistance programs.
- Staff Supervision: Mentor and supervise a team of junior staff members, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to patient care and administrative functions, implement improvements in billing systems, appointment scheduling, and financial counseling services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's Degree will be an advantage.
- Required 5 years' experience in healthcare administration in the supervisory capacity, preferably in a clinical setting or cancer centre.
- Strong understanding of medical billing practices, insurance procedures, and financial counseling.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
