Job Summary

The Director of Wholesale Operations will be responsible for leading the Pan-SEA Wholesale accounts in identifying, developing, and implementing strategies for the sustainable and profitable growth of the adidas Group brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team towards delivering sales turnover, margins, and contribution while managing sales expense within planned levels.
  • Develop and implement the overall strategy for the Wholesale multi account portfolio based on Global and Market strategies jointly with the Senior Director Commercial - SEA.
  • Ensure the best possible Net Sales result by setting clear targets and action points.
  • Constantly track results, analyze risks, and new business opportunities.
  • Take ownership and set qualitative quarterly, seasonal, and annual OTB.
  • Ensure the wholesale multi organization applies available adidas Group standards and best practices in daily work.
  • Review, challenge, and sign off the Strategic Account Plans and Account Marketing Plans proposed by direct reports.
  • Support negotiation and enforcement of adidas Group trade terms.
  • Establish an appropriate organizational framework and transformation of the wholesale multi organization in line with the Global organizational blueprint.
  • Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets, and guidelines.
  • Measure progress on defined KPIs and monitor all reports.
  • Monitor and report on customers and competitors sell-through and activities, and propose/initiate/action plans.
  • Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customers' performances based on key product performance, sell-through, and inventory in quality.
  • Liaise with Marketing team on merchandising support, timely inflow of stocks to service customers, ensuring prompt action to liquidate old inventory.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the team in achieving their daily responsibilities and objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully managing Accounts & Account managers in large sales organizations.
  • Experience in leading high-profile accounts and handling customers/senior executives.
  • High analytical skills for strategy development, business planning, decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: excellent communications and negotiating abilities as well as high-quality presentation, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge (e.g. sales, trade marketing, finance, and controlling).
  • Strong decision-making, determination, and to show high initiative and pragmatism to the business.
  • Succes in delivering results through a matrix organization.

Education and Experience Qualification

  • University degree in business with marketing and sales focus.
  • Minimum 10~12 years of sales experience within large sales organizations, ideally in footwear/apparel/fashion industries or FMCG industries.
  • At least 8 years' experience of people and operational management.
  • Exposure: Sports, Marketing, Supply Chain.
  • IT skills: Advanced MS Office Skills.
