Safety and Environmental Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Safety and Environmental Specialist to spearhead our workplace safety and health initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring effective safety and environmental management systems, conducting thorough risk assessments, and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive environmental management plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and monitor safety and environmental management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop safe work procedures, and provide training to personnel on site.
- Oversee the development and implementation of environmental management plans, including waste management strategies, resource conservation initiatives, and pollution control measures.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure timely reporting and resolution of safety and environmental issues.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize future risks.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or a related field, and minimum 3 years of experience as an Occupational Safety Officer or Environmental Control Specialist in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, industry best practices, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or a related field.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
