Job Title: Environmental Safety Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to ensure compliance with statutory legislation and requirements at construction sites. This involves promoting safety awareness throughout the organization, establishing policies and procedures to minimize risks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish a training matrix and programs for employees to enhance their knowledge of environmental health principles.
  • Assist in scheduling HSE meetings, such as committee meetings and mass tool box talks, to facilitate discussion and collaboration among team members.
  • Prepare and implement safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Develop, implement, and review safe work procedures and risk assessments at project requirements.
  • Ensure all work practices comply with company safety policy and WSH act.
  • Identify problems and provide solutions to improve work processes and outcomes.
  • Lead fellow colleagues and instill a culture of safety awareness within the organization.
  • Compile reports and records, conduct daily safety inspections, and submit weekly safety reports as required by management and clients.
  • Participate in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 implementation and audit to ensure adherence to industry standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
