Job Title: Safety and Environmental Professional
Meranti Power, a leading energy company, is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Environmental Professional to support the operations of our new power generation station on Jurong Island.
We invite applications for this key role who will report directly to the Head of Safety and Environment. As a member of our team, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Organize and conduct training programs for employees on safety procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain administrative records, including safety audits, reports, and certifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Plan and conduct drills related to site safety, occupational health, and environmental protection.
- Provide expert advice on safety strategies and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Education in a relevant field, such as environmental science or occupational health and safety.
- Registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Professional knowledge of HSE legislation and standards.
- Experience in the power/energy sector is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work on Jurong Island, with morning transportation provided from multiple pick-up points across Singapore.
