Transform Your Career with a Data Governance Role

  • The Microsoft Purview Data Governance Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, implementation, and management of data governance and compliance solutions within a non-persistent Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support throughout deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization phases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Design and implement Exact Data Match (EDM) as a fundamental requirement.
  • Develop and enforce policies for data retention and protection using Microsoft Purview.
  • Monitor and manage data access, usage, and compliance through Purview's governance tools.
  • Integrate Microsoft Purview with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and other Microsoft 365 security tools within a non-persistent VDI environment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with organizational policies.
  • Facilitate integration of Purview and Defender with other Microsoft 365 and Azure services to establish a unified security and compliance framework.

Required Skills:

  • A strong track record of navigating complex organizational structures and managing varied requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, particularly in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), EDM, Sensitive Information Type (SIT) creation, and data governance.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and its integration with Purview and Microsoft 365 in a non-persistent VDI environment.
  • A solid understanding of Microsoft 365 compliance and security tools.
  • Experience working in hybrid environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data protection issues.
