Set in 15 acres of lush greenery just minutes from the vibrant Orchard Road shopping belt, the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, is a tranquil, sophisticated urban retreat whether travelling for business or leisure. It features 792 luxurious guestrooms and suites across three distinct wings, including unique family-themed rooms, supported by a host of dedicated family-focused amenities.
We are looking for an Assistant Chief Steward Manager to join our team
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the Chief Steward in managing all stewarding operations
Supervising stewarding staff (dishwashers, cleaners, utility workers) across all shifts
Ensuring kitchen and back-of-house areas are cleaned and sanitized according to hygiene standards
Monitoring cleaning schedules for kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and storage areas
Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment
Assisting in training staff on hygiene, safety procedures, and correct chemical usage
Managing inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding tools
Coordinating closely with kitchen, banquet, and F&B teams to meet service requirements
Helping implement and monitor waste management procedures
Requirement:
3–5 years of stewarding or kitchen support experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
