Electrical Maintenance Technician: A Critical Role in Marine Generator Operations

The position of Electrical Maintenance Technician is pivotal in ensuring the seamless functioning of marine generators. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of these critical systems.

To excel in this role, you will require a strong background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, preferably with experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of marine Generators. Additionally, prior electrical and control experience with various control systems (John Deere ECU and KDI ECU) and synchronization systems is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of marine Generators
  • Providing after-sales technical support and maintenance responsibilities to distributors/end customers
  • Generating service reports in a systematic manner
  • Investigating and handling customer complaints related to product failures
  • Reviewing and assisting in determining the extent of damage and repairs of warranty claims from distributors
  • Maintaining close working relationships with key customers until issues are resolved
  • Developing service training material and ensuring all technical documents are up-to-date and organized
  • Providing specific training to distributors and dealers for service and troubleshooting skills
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to travel frequently within the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia Region
  • Prior electrical and control experience with various control systems (John Deere ECU and KDI ECU) and synchronization systems is advantageous
