Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team of experts in medical technology. As a dedicated professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced medical and analytical instruments.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies that support life sciences and healthcare advancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver timely on-site technical support to customers, Field Applications Scientists/Specialists, and Territory Account Managers
  • Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain complex medical and scientific instrument systems
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge using service manuals, SOPs, Field Service Bulletins, and remote connectivity
  • Manage and control service inventory to ensure first-time fix performance
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support system placements, contract renewals, and promotional efforts
  • Build strong relationships with key clients to support the success of their systems
  • Provide resolution for technical issues while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction
  • Perform qualification and validation procedures at customer sites
  • Coordinate and execute new system installations, including facility readiness assessments
  • Participate in team projects to support continuous improvement and innovation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical, Mechanical, or related disciplines)
  • Experience servicing medical devices or analytical/laboratory instruments
  • Exposure to optics and laser-based equipment is advantageous
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory best practices and safety protocols
  • Understanding of genomics, sequencing technologies, or bioinformatics is a plus
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support, installations, and training
