Medical Technology Field Service Specialist The Opportunity: A leading global analytics and technology solutions company seeks a dedicated Field Service Engineer to support their medical technology operations.
This is a hands-on, field-based role providing critical technical support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced medical and analytical instruments. As a vital link between the customer and internal support teams, you will ensure equipment is fully functional and service levels exceed expectations. About the Role:

  • Deliver timely on-site technical support to customers and internal teams.
  • Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain complex medical and scientific instrument systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge using service manuals, SOPs, and Field Service Bulletins.
  • Manage and control service inventory to ensure first-time fix performance.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support system placements and promotional efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients to support the success of their systems.
  • Provide resolution for technical issues while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Perform qualification and validation procedures at customer sites.
  • Coordinate and execute new system installations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical, Mechanical, or related disciplines).
  • Experience servicing medical devices or analytical/laboratory instruments.
  • Exposure to optics and laser-based equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory best practices and safety protocols.
  • Understanding of genomics, sequencing technologies, or bioinformatics is a plus.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support, installations, and training.
