We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations professional to join our team. As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing consultation and coaching to employees and managers based in APAC and Japan.
About the Role:
The Opportunity
The primary focus of this role is to provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including complex performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, sensitive exit and termination management.
You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Employment Legal Counsel, and internal stakeholders to develop and implement policies and processes that promote a positive employee relations environment.
This role also involves driving predictive data analysis and trends based on reports and data provided by the larger people resources team.
In addition, you will contribute as a key coach and advisor in maintaining a positive ER environment within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Engage as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers on sensitive work-related issues related to conflict resolution, demonstrating a solid understanding of company policy, culture and values.
- Partner with managers to provide ER coaching on complex performance matters and assess progress, coaching managers and employees through corrective action and disciplinary actions.
- Handle investigations in compliance and employee-related matters, recommend solutions, and assist with facilitation of resolution.
- Perform preliminary legal, regulatory, and management assessments to evaluate risk of Involuntary Separations, working with HR Business Partners and Legal.
- Facilitate sessions/workshops to equip managers to better handle performance, employee engagement, conflicts, etc.
- Drive Manager Enablement with respect to various aspects of employee relations, coaching, counseling, and educating managers based on Adobe's performance philosophy, Checkin.
- Prepare, complete, and timely documentation and reports of findings for all investigations, following up on all matters.
- Drive proactive management of potential risks – based on data received from reports or other sources, identify patterns and trends, and develop programs to put corrective plans in place or minimize the risk of issues occurring.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and the business on handling reorganizations.
What You Need to Succeed:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Employee Relations and/or HR Business Partner roles.
- Experience leading multiple, concurrent, high-priority employee relations activities with a focus on timely and consistent execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, able to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.
- Ability to apply judgment and make decisions on cases and escalations.
- Ability to complete work within constant deadlines/time constraints/SLA environment, with minimal direction.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently, while contributing to team initiatives.
- A high degree of ethics and integrity.
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience; a legal background is a plus.
- Addition language skills (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Thai) are highly desired but not required.
