Our client, a leading trading company, is seeking a dynamic HR and Administration Manager to join their team in Singapore. With a local team of 25 professionals and a work-from-office policy, the company is committed to creating a high-engagement workplace culture. This role also includes oversight of a small team located in other countries.

Role Overview

The HR and Administration Manager will lead human resources and administrative functions, acting as a catalyst for change and innovation within the organization. They will drive engagement, influence leadership, and contribute to process improvement, setting the foundation for long-term organizational success. This role has opportunities for growth, with the potential to evolve into senior leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and talent development efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Enhance workplace culture by fostering employee engagement, satisfaction, and performance excellence.
  • Be at the forefront of improving current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Educate leadership on evolving HR practices and recommend initiatives to drive organizational excellence.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with colleagues across the organization to influence and drive initiatives, even without direct reporting lines.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and cultural best practices.
  • Oversee administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and office facilities for optimal efficiency.
  • Provide guidance to international teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and contribute to business decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8–15 years of HR and administration experience, preferably within trading or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore's employment laws and cultural nuances.
  • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving organizational change.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance workplace culture and create high-engagement environments.
