Junior Application Support Analyst

Team & Position

We are seeking a talented Application Support Analyst to join our Client's dynamic Capital Market IT (CMI) department

As Application Support Analyst, you are responsible of supporting users of Capital Market applications by responding their requests and resolving their incidents. You play a pivotal role between Business and all other IT roles on Run related topics. You must follow Capital Market IT Run processes standards and recommendations shared by Run Control Tower team and as a member of support community you will have to contribute to their improvement.

Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API's, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.

Main Responsibilities

· Resolve incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently. Thorough investigation and communication throughout the incident lifecycle. Proactive identification of workarounds. Effective coordination of stakeholders during significant incidents. Clear and timely communication to users, senior management, and other IT stakeholders.

· Handle user requests promptly and effectively. Prioritizing requests based on urgency and impact. Escalating requests when necessary while remaining the primary point of contact for the user.

· Drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues. Identifying root causes of incidents and defining remediation actions. Proposing solutions such as feature development, automation, or online help updates for recurring requests.

· Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders. Collaboration with other support engineers, users, and other stakeholders. Potential involvement in complementary tasks such as testing or business analysis.

· Follow CMI Run processes, standards, and recommendations provided by the Run Control Tower, actively contributing to their improvement.

Qualifications and Profile

Candidates should have 1-3 years experience in relevant activities, and possess ITIL knowledge.

Technical

· Good knowledge in SQL, UNIX platform.

· Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Shell script and PowerShell.

· Knowledge of DevOps tools & technologies like GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, and MQ Series.

· Experience with Docker/Kubernetes

· Knowledge of Cloud platforms and services

Functional

· Knowledge of systems dealing with Counterparty Risk, Market Risk, credit limits, monte carlo risk simulation methodology and its implementation, VaR, Stress, P&L reporting

· Knowledge of supporting DFA and EMIR compliance implementation for large investment banking setup

· Knowledge of financial assets (FX, Structured credit, Swaps, Equities, etc.) and overall understanding of trade lifecycle.

· Knowledge in supporting capital market applications and trading systems

Nice to Have

· Any Object-oriented language: Java, .Net

· Domain-Driven design and Microservices: Springboot

· Exposure to Capital Markets applications

· Experience with automation frameworks and libraries.
