We are looking for a Sustainability, Strategy & Performance Manager to join our team

Purpose of the Role

• The role develops strategies to promote long-term sustainability at AET which include social and environmental strategies as well as enterprise value creation.
• Supporting strategy development, this role also involves communication to internal and external stakeholders, project management of sustainability initiatives and risk management across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies, framework and initiatives, as well as associated targets and requirements
• Track, interpret and analyse emerging legislation that will affect the Group and draw up a transition plan to meet upcoming requirements
• Draft key corporate policies on sustainability
• Develop quantitative models to analyse the impacts of sustainability related incentives e.g., carbon taxes on fleet
• Coordinate engagement sessions with key stakeholders to support sustainability programs and process
• Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to prepare appropriate reports (including responses) related to Board sustainability matters
• Respond to customer queries related to sustainability
• Support annual external sustainability reporting with data collection, data presentation and storytelling
• Report data to a range of ESG standards, frameworks and research organisations including: GRI, SASB, TCFD and the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment
• Periodically review, analyse and create presentations to discuss key sustainability topics and performance for management review
• Plan and develop ongoing internal and external communications and education sessions to promote a culture of sustainability
• To comply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE)

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Science, Business, Finance or related field

Experience

• At least 8 years' relevant experience in Sustainability work preferably in the shipping/oil & gas industry
• Working knowledge of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards

Skills & Abilities

• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Proactive and resourceful, with strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly
• Analytical and with basic excel modelling capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to present data in a compelling way in presentations
• Knowledgeable in international developments on Sustainability topics
• Strong planning, stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
• Team player who can work independently
