Job Summary :

You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees within Great Eastern. Reporting to the Head of Talent and Learning, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop training strategies, and execute initiatives that align with our business objectives.

As a Senior Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Implementing the training strategy for the organization, aligned with the business objectives and culture
  • Enhancing the processes and platforms for learning delivery, evaluation, and reporting, ensuring a positive end-user experience and service quality
  • Designing and developing customized training programs that address the learning needs and development goals of the workforce, using various modalities and methodologies
  • Creating learning roadmaps and career books that guide employees on their learning and career paths
  • Monitoring and managing the financial outflow of the learning function, ensuring adherence to the allocated budgets and forecasts
  • Partnering with divisions to conduct learning needs analysis, identify skill gaps, and recommend appropriate learning interventions
  • Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of the learning programs and initiatives, using various metrics and feedback tools
  • Developing and disseminating communication materials for HR programs and activities, using clear and engaging language and visuals
  • Analyzing training reports and data to identify patterns, trends, and insights, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Keeping abreast of the latest HR and learning trends and developments, and benchmarking against best practices
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members on all learning and development related matters, and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlights any potential concerns/ risks and proactively shares best risk management practices


Knowledge and Experience required :
  • Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in learning and development, preferably in a large and complex organization
  • Strong knowledge and skills in learning design, delivery, evaluation, and technology
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor the message and style to different audiences and situations
  • High level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management, with the ability to align learning solutions with organizational goals and priorities
  • A proactive, creative, and innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • A collaborative, supportive, and flexible attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a team and across functions
  • A passion for learning and development, and a commitment to personal and professional growth
  • Degree in Business, Human Resource or a related field
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
