Advancement and Alumni Relations Executive
The Advancement and Alumni Relations Executive plays a key role in the implementation of the school's fundraising and alumni engagement programmes, utilising diverse strategies to support the mission of SJI International, benefit its students and the alumni community, and foster life-long relationships within the community.
Fundraising, Donor Relations and Stewardship
● Executes annual appeals and implements fundraising strategies to cultivate and secure funding.
● Ensures accurate processing and recording of donations, ensuring timely acknowledgements.
● Coordinates and executes advancement events, including large-scale and smaller events.
● Develops and runs reports to analyse and track fundraising programme progress.
● Gathers information and assists in producing donor and impact reports.
● Engages internal stakeholders to develop communications collateral.
● Conducts research and analysis to identify and qualify potential donors and prospects.
● Maintains and updates the donor database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Alumni Relations & Engagement
● Engages with alumni to offer ways of connecting with the community both in Singapore and worldwide and giving back to the school.
● Works closely with the Alumni Executive Committee and supports the day-to-day operations that support alumni engagement.
● Develops and produces engaging content for alumni communications channels (inc. social media, regular newsletters and the alumni annual magazine).
● Plans and administers alumni events, including the annual reunion.
● Oversees the senior class onboarding programme into the alumni community.
● Maintains an accurate and up-to-date alumni database.
● Produces and analyses reports tracking alumni data and ROI on alumni programme effectiveness.
● Oversees and manages the alumni budget.
Administrative and Operational Support:
● Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Advancement and Alumni Relations team.
● Ensures data integrity and accurate record-keeping, facilitating seamless data flow between platforms.
● Assists with reporting and analysis of fundraising activities, donor trends, and alumni engagement.
● Supports financial administration by managing budgets.
● Contributes to effective communication and organisation.
● Undertakes any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
● Diploma/degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
● 1 to 2 years experience in fundraising and/or philanthropy.
● Exceptional communication and project management skills.
● Strong analytical and computer skills.
● Experience in creating impactful publications and digital content.
● Experience with donor management systems and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
● Highly motivated with a positive attitude, cultural sensitivity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
