Roles & Responsibilities

The Manager, Patient Relations Services will be responsible for developing and implementing the organisational strategy and framework for enhancing patient experiences within the hospital. This role will oversee all communications and patient relations matters, working closely with Head of Departments and line staff to operationalise strategies aimed at improving patient care and satisfaction.


What you'll be doing

  • Establish contact with patients and their families at the point of referral or admission, serving as the primary contact
  • Implement workflows to ensure a positive patient experience at every interaction
  • Identify and address caregiver stress, offering counseling and practical solutions
  • In crisis situations, advise and support the Head of Department and staff on appropriate actions, providing empathy and support
  • Review and respond to feedback and complaints from the Patients Feedback Form
  • Work with Corporate Communications, Pastoral Care Services, and Nursing to organise patient engagement events
  • Develop programmes and events to promote patient engagement and improve patient experiences
  • Proactively identify caregiver stress and engage caregivers in supportive conversations, offering empathy, solutions, and resources
  • Collaborate with external agencies for post-discharge follow-up
  • Participate in ward processes relevant to patient relations and experience


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor Degree in Public Relations/ Communications/ Counselling or related studies
  • 4 - 6 years of experience of in similar managerial role, preferably in hospitality/ public relations/ caregiver support/ counselling
  • Independent, dependable, self-motivated, creative, and with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong background in public relations, client experience, or support and counselling, and skilled in building positive communications and rapport
  • Mature, organised, resourceful, capable of identifying sensitive issues and providing appropriate guidance, and resilient under pressure, making sound judgements in crisis situations
