Job Description

Our client is a well-established global financial institution and is looking for an IT Operations Manager to join their team due to expansion of business.

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the organisation's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring their smooth operation. This role requires expertise in ITIL practices and hands-on development experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Operations Management: Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
  • ITIL Implementation: Apply ITIL best practices for incident, problem, change, and service level management.
  • Development Support: Provide technical guidance to the development team, adhering to best practices, regulatory guidelines, and security protocols.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Lead resolution efforts for IT incidents and problems to minimize business impact.
  • Change Management: Oversee the planning, testing, and implementation of changes to minimize service disruption.
  • Service Level Management: Monitor and report on IT service performance against SLAs, implementing improvements where needed.
  • Vendor Management: Manage IT vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with agreements and service expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements, automation, and optimization for efficiency and cost savings.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • ITIL certification (Foundation, Practitioner, or higher).
  • 8-12 years of IT operations management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Wide exposure to core banking environment
  • Hands-on development experience in languages like Java or Python.
  • Familiarity with IT security principles and run-the-bank principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology is an added advantage.
