Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Country Manager to oversee our operations in Singapore. The Country Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of the business in the country, ensuring revenue growth, and managing a diverse team. This position requires a strong leadership capability, business acumen, and an in-depth understanding of the local market and industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
- Lead and manage the company's operations within the country, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement a country-specific strategy to achieve growth targets, revenue generation, and market penetration.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and sales channels to expand the company's footprint.
- Drive the execution of product and service initiatives tailored to the local market.
- Operations & Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with the company's standards and policies.
- Manage the country's P&L, budget, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Track performance against KPIs and adjust strategies to meet financial goals.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing local team across multiple functions, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.
- Ensure recruitment, training, and retention strategies are implemented to build a strong local workforce.
- Market & Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners in the country.
- Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, clients, and government representatives.
- Understand and respond to customer needs and market dynamics, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that the business is fully compliant with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify potential risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Stay informed about changes in the regulatory landscape and adjust business practices accordingly.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular updates to regional/global leadership on the country's performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze and report on market trends, competitor activities, and other external factors affecting the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the local market, consumer behaviour, and business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Financially astute, with experience in managing P&L and budgeting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and manage compliance.
