Job Summary:

This job is involved in gathering, analysing, interpreting operations data to effect positive business outcomes. You will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to help management make better decisions.

You will also utilize your expert knowledge of operational systems, workflow processes and policies to ensure support of client service expectations, continuous improvement, and overall efficiency.


Job Duties and Competencies:

  • Collaborate with the underwriting, operations, and finance teams to improve process interaction that led to better quality data.
  • Gather data on current operations through observations, reports, and interviews.
  • Analyse current operations to determine strengths and areas of improvement.
  • Designs efficient operational processes and assist with implementation of changes.
  • Ability to create dashboards using database application tools like Power BI.
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with outsourced service providers as necessary.
  • Analyse data and information to identify business opportunities.
  • Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements.
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.

Essential Requirements:

  • 5 - 8 years’ experience as data analyst, business analyst.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and inefficiencies from gathered data to effect business processes.
  • Breadth and depth of insurance business.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
