As a member of the APJ Cloud Transformation Office – Customer Portfolio Manager Team, you will collaborate closely with our APJ Team to design commercial strategies for our mid-market clients in Asia. This will assist them in their digital transformation journey, creating significant value for their businesses and communities. Success in the Role: What are the achievements to strive for in the initial 6-12 months?

  • Within 30 days of starting your role, become well-versed in VMware by Broadcom's product range, quoting systems, internal approval procedures, and Customer Portfolio Management team tools. Partner with an experienced CPM to enhance ABV growth and customer consumption by diving into deal specifics and grasping pricing essentials.
  • Within 90 days of onboarding, you will possess a solid understanding of CPM guidelines and tools to lead the structuring of commercial deals for your designated area efficiently. Your focus will center on creating complex quotes, explaining the benefits of proposed offers to both internal and external stakeholders, and aligning with Account Plans/Strategies alongside your team for effective execution.
  • Within 180 days you will serve as the key advisor for the assigned accounts and contribute to developing up-selling and cross-selling opportunities in collaboration with the Sales team. Additionally, you will excel in managing the renewal pipeline and implementing growth strategies.
  • Within 360 days, in addition to the above, you will oversee the ongoing renewal pipeline and explore up-selling/cross-selling possibilities within existing opportunities to achieve growth targets.

The Work: What responsibilities and skills will be part of your routine tasks?

  • Understanding, analyzing, and presenting renewals data for customers in your designated Territory to offer insights and recommendations to the Sales Team on critical events and timelines.
  • Creating intricate quotes and commercial proposals for customers within your assigned Territory using CPM tools and Broadcom systems to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Managing pipeline and ensuring opportunity and forecast accuracy in your devoted Territory alongside the Sales Team.
  • Devising Account Plans/Strategies for your assigned Territory in partnership with the Sales Team to increase conversion rates and drive up-selling/cross-selling within the customer base.
  • Formulating a detailed pricing strategy, modeling, and conducting scenario analysis to align customer needs with Broadcom's vision.
  • Preparing detailed commercial proposals, value propositions, and presentations in PowerPoint to engage with our APJ Customers effectively.
  • Developing negotiation strategies in coordination with the account team while adhering to mutual deal execution timelines.
  • Engaging with Broadcom Business Units and Partners to maintain alignment with deal strategies and goals until the PO booking stage.
  • Collaborating with the customer's procurement team and supporting negotiations alongside the Sales team.
  • Applying innovative thinking to address customer business challenges with VMW by BSG solutions.

The Hiring Manager for this position is Ghin Khoo, leading the Corporate Customer Portfolio Manager APJ team in Singapore. Ghin's background includes various Enterprise Sales and Sales Leadership roles within the IT sector before joining Broadcom. He believes that true leadership goes beyond titles and encourages his team members to exhibit leadership qualities and uphold the team's shared values while collaborating creatively to tackle and solve challenges together.

The CPM team is geographically dispersed across the APJ region, closely connected with our Customer and Sales teams. The team emphasizes collaboration and the exchange of best practices to deliver high-quality outcomes that support our Sales teams in closing deals, as well as continuous enhancement of processes and systems.

Where is this position located?

Singapore – Flexible Location: This role is centered on providing support to our Asian customers from our office in Singapore.
